The experiments demonstrate that designing with reclaimed materials relies on continuous prototyping, in which errors become opportunities for collective learning. Direct engagement with materials fosters a shared understanding of construction and promotes autonomy through the use of local resources and short supply chains. Modular structures accommodate material heterogeneity, while combining digital modelling with physical prototyping provides a reproducible method. This experimental teaching approach generates transferable knowledge for circular and sustainable design.
